Nascar a sport?

The drivers do stay in shape....but driving a car is not a sport....... Its entertainment....but not a sport

let me put it to u like this way. has any of u ever driven over to bristol race track to see the lights. u remember how bumpy the track is at 5mph or less. then think how it must feel at 130mph. u cant tell me they are not more inshape than any baseball player or football player. so my answer is yes it is a sport.

It is a sport cause after some races drivers have to be help out of there cars that's how much they are drained from the race!

it jus comes down to your defition of a sport... this is just one of those things we are going to have to agree to disagree on.

Me personally i cant stand it. Ive been to the past 2 bristol races and had fun for the first 5 minutes of the race and then was ready to go back home. i think when it comes on tv it is even more boring. but that is just my personality. i can watch baseball and football because i actually know stuff about them and can try to guess pitch selection/or formations and actually have experience so i can talk bout it. i guess im jus to hyperactive for nascar.

like i said earlier, if you like nascar more power to you, if you think its a sport, hey thas your opinion and i respect it.

but for me, to call jeff gordan an athlete is like callin me peter pan.
